Happy Wednesday everyone! To mark making it to the half way point of the week, I’m celebrating with my favourite “W”… a wishlist! I know what you were thinking, and yes there may be a glass of that on the way to me later too, if I’m good!
It’s no surprise that I’m back banging on about shoes, they’re always my biggest weakness. Autumn is my favourite time of year; it’s beautiful and crisp out, the leaves are falling and it’s finally time to root back out my favourite shoes and boots. While I love digging out my old ones, I obviously get very excited about adding a few new pairs to the collection as well.
This year, there are a few trends in footwear that are not to be forgotten. Styles that are big time “IN” this year are sock shoes and boots, biker chic boots and any boot in the colour white or red!
1. The White Ankle Boot
We saw white boots and shoes coming back into fashion last AW but it’s only this year that I think people will really come around to them and “accept” them again. I see them replacing last years metallic trend. I love how much they stand out and that biker, rock chic vibe they exude.
2. The Sock Boot
If you buy into one trend this AW, make it the sock boot. Reminiscent of the 90’s these bad boys are back with a vengeance. They’re such a sexy shoe and can be worn throughout all those up and coming winter nights out. You can pair them with so many different looks from your skinnie’s to a floral maxi dress to a leather mini – these boot’s are so versatile! I’m ever so slightly obsessed with these red zip up ones – they’re nailing all the trends in one go!
3. The Classic Black Ankle Boot
If you read my recent post on the key transitional pieces you need to ease you into Autumn, then you’ll know a classic black ankle boot is high up on the “must-have” list. Above all shoes, a black ankle boot is something you should invest in and spend money on as they will be worn day in day out over the course of the season. They can be worn to work, for drinks with the girls, on date night, with an oversized knit and jeans on the weekend. They are the one shoe that will tick all the boxes so it’s worth spending a bit more money on. When it comes to CPW (cost per wear) they will actually work out as a bargain!!
