I hope you had a not so miserable Monday. I don’t care what anyone says or how much you might love your job – Monday’s are still hard! For once, I actually stuck to my plan of not doing a whole lot as intended and just chilled out for the weekend. It was bliss. If you follow me on Instagram then you might recognise this outfit from last week when I wore it to my brother’s confirmation.
These culottes are probably one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe – they’re just so much fun and well, sassy! Try as I might, most dresses just don’t suit my shape so I’m always more comfortable in separates. I think the day of feeling like you’re not dressed up unless you’re wearing a dress is long gone. I’m always of the opinion that you should wear whatever you like and feel comfortable in, as long as the fit is good. That’s my only rule – get the sizing right and after that throw the rule book to the wind. Fashion is supposed to be fun!!
This outfit came together at the very last minute – don’t you love when that just happens? I had these trousers from work from two years ago. They’re a Portoguese brand called Katty Xiomara. The top I picked up as a by the way in Penny’s the week beforehand, just because I liked the colour of it. It was only the day before the confirmation that I realised the two would work well together. I’ve already gotten so much wear out of this bag since buying it in Spain in March.
Hair as always was looked after by the gorgeous Grafton girls.
My mini me is becoming fierce competition in the style stakes lately. How cute is her romper? She doesn’t like anything too girly so this was perfect for her!
I had an insta-story up earlier of some homemade protein balls that my sister made and a few people asked would I post the method. Would it be something you would be interested in? I was thinking of asking her to do a guest post – she’s amazing in the kitchen! Snap me or comment below if that would be something you would like!
