Happy Friday guys!
To be honest, at first I wasn’t hugely sold on bomber jackets but this black embroidered one, I fell for straight away. I quickly tired of the quilted ones that we were beginning to see everywhere but I loved the Gucci vibe this one had due to it’s embroidered detailing (just look at those butterflies). It’s black so I can still wear it with most things but at the same time it’s that little bit different! A few asked on Instagram and snapchat where I purchased it and the answer is Boohoo. I used to be SO hesitant when buying stuff from their site due to their quality but in recent months absolutely everything I’ve ordered has been exactly as I wanted.. I think I might be converted!? It’s nice and light too so it’s ideal for this time of year but can be easily layered up as the months progress.
These black trousers were by far my best purchase this season. I got them in work and honestly after only having them a few months, I have already gotten so much wear out of them. The wide legs are here to stay for the forseeable future and I’m delighted about it. They’re so much dressier and can be a lot more flattering on certain shapes, especially when they are high waisted. I think some people, in particular women whose legs are their best asset, tend to steer clear of wide leg trousers in fear that they are covering up their best part but just because they aren’t tight fitting doesn’t mean they don’t accentuate those killer pins – It just shows off your figure in a different way that we’re not used to. Same applies to shorter women, don’t be afraid of them, just throw on a killer heel and you’re good to go! For pieces like this, that will undoubtedly become a staple piece in your wardrobe, I think it’s better to invest and spend the money on a really good pair that will stand the test of time and still take you anywhere.
My shoes of choice lately are causing a bit of a divide between my family and friends these days. From gold, Chanel-inspired, round toe, heeled pumps to these white mules, it’s clear to see that I’m really enjoying the current shoe trends. I can understand though that they’re not for everyone. A member of my family even pointed out that I’m slowly morphing into my granny.. so that’s what I’m using as my general rule now – If granny wore it in the eighties (and still wears them) then chances are they’re “in” at the moment and I’m going to fully embrace it. These mules didn’t exactly break the bank at €7 (Penny’s hun) so at that price I think why not have a little fun and play around with the trends!

I really enjoy outfits like this because they’ll take you from day to night so easily. From meeting the girls for some food to then unintentionally ending up out that night (let’s be honest that always happens!!), it’s just such a handy easy look.
Speaking of food, this Sunday, myself & Vicky are heading to the Campo Viejo Tapas Trail in town. We went last year and had an absolute ball so I was so delighted to be invited back this year. If like me, you enjoy wine, tapas and some fun then this day is one you need to embark on. It’s such an amazing way to sample a few of Galway’s brilliant restaurants and take in some of our beautiful culture at the same time. You can read more on last years trail here but it’s worth noting that this year they’re including a few different restaurants and taking it up a notch so I’m expecting even bigger things this time around! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend 🙂
