The Ivy Chelsea Garden, London.

Hey Guys!

We’re almost there, it’s nearly Friday! Today I’m bringing you with me to I think one of my favourite restaurants I’ve ever been to – The Ivy Chelsea Garden. While I was in London last month (read more about the trip here & here) we tried to fit in as much as possible that we had on our “London Wishlist”..most of those included “instafamous” bars and restaurants and at the top of our list was this very sophisticated and altogether British spot.

On entering you straight away know that you’ve entered more of an establishment as opposed to your typical restaurant. The place oozes class from their refined staff to the amazing, decadent decor and more importantly to the people sitting at their tables (plenty of tanned businessmen in crisp white shirts if you know what I mean).

The menu was full to the brim with mouth watering options but the one that took my fancy was the chargrilled banham half chicken marinated in a lemon, thyme & butter sauce and served with homemade thick cut chips…it was insanely good! Eadaoin went for the smoked salmon and crab open sandwich served with parmesan truffle chips. If you ever go here, I need to insist you go for these chips, they are out of this world! I’m getting hungry just thinking back on it. With our bellies full we decided it would be rude to have come all that way and not have a peak at their elusive and well-known garden terrace.

Now by check out their garden I obviously mean sit down and soak up the gorgeous surroundings with a chilled glass of Sauvignon. Naturally. It was quite a chilly day but it didn’t dampen our moods, we were more than happy perched in beside the huge open fire pit sipping on our wine and taking in this very London lifestyle scene. I honestly could have stayed there all day..or even weekend if I had the chance!

If you’re in London and consider yourself a “Made In Chelsea” wannabe then this is a definite must experience. We can be fancy for one afternoon at least?! 🙂

Gotta Dash,

Edel x
