“It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone.” – Hans F. Hansen
Hello Lovelies! This week’s second look couldn’t be further from the first one. My first look of this week was dark and lacked colour but I loved it anyways. This one is very much the opposite but again, I love it. I never usually wear many bold colours and certainly didn’t have anything orange in my wardrobe before purchasing this jumper but I just loved this shade and how it “popped”. I picked this cropped sweater up while I was in London for work last week, I was instantly drawn to the colour of it. It has a beautiful rich mustardy, burnt orange hue.
“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all black says this: I don’t bother you – don’t bother me.” – Yohji Yamamoto
Today’s look is about as predictable as I can get when it comes to choosing an outfit and that really doesn’t bother me. I think sometimes people can get so caught up in changing up their look or evolving their style that they lose their own personal style in the process. I love trends as much as the next person, I mean I count down the days until February arrives because I know that with February comes my favourite March edition magazines, so I’m definitely not innocent when it comes to buying into trends and fashion moments. In fact, I love them – trends are fun and exciting and create that buzz in the fashion world that I love so much. But that doesn’t mean that we should forget about our own personal style or that we should feel guilty about returning to the same pieces in our wardrobe.
Today’s outfit is an “off duty” look of sorts – it’s basically what you would find me wearing on weekends and time off etc. As much as I would love to be a dress/skirt kind of girl, I’m just so much more comfortable in trousers and denims in particular. I’m becoming more and more a fan of the “Mom” jeans lately, they’re the perfect balance between not too skinny yet still flattering and they still show your shape. I love the fact that they’re high waisted too which means you can tuck a top in or wear them with shorter things like this cropped leather. View Post
I guess I should start this post by saying Happy St. Patricks day to everyone far and near! I love that even though its an Irish celebration, it’s enjoyed by people all over the world..We’re just so lovable sure! 🙂 Speaking of love, lets talk about my new designer inspired denims. I am completely and utterly starry eyed for them (pun completely intended). I have been eyeing up the original Stella McCartney ones for months so I honestly couldn’t believe my luck when I saw these high street babies. Did I mention they were less than €35? View Post
