I’m finally back to a normal(ish) routine after a few days away in Nerja in the south of Spain. If you’ve been following my blog from the start then you’ll know that my grandparents live in Nerja for around half of the year and I’ve been going there since I was 12. I absolutely love it there. I’m going to be doing a separate post on everything you need to know when going to Nerja but for now, I’m going to be talking about the idyllic village situated in the mountains not far from Nerja – Frigiliana… View Post
I’ll warn you from the get go, this post is gonna be a picture heavy one but once you look at the photos you will understand why. While I was in America last month, we were lucky enough to be there for the 4th of July weekend. On that weekend we decided we would take the plunge and drive up to Lake Tahoe. Now when I say we, what I really mean is leave all of the driving to our brilliant and considerably less of a wuss, best friend Sara Kate and leave the annoying singing and car-games to us in the back. We rose early on the Saturday morning (hungover, again- shock, I know!) to come to the conclusion that it was probably best to get out of the city for the weekend so Tahoe View Post
Located in Marin County, Sausalito is an idyllic seaside town that boasts the most amazing views looking across onto San Francisco Bay, it’s two bridges and Alcatraz. Our bestie that lives in San Francisco, Sara Kate kept insisting we go there on a day that was nice but we never got around to it until our second last day when she drove us there herself, making sure we didn’t miss out. She was determined that we got there and I now know why. The place is a little piece of paradise. View Post
How glorious is this weather we’re getting? 30 degrees heat is something we are not used to here in Ireland! These warmer temperatures had me dreaming all day of being back among the vines in Napa, so much so I said I’d finally get around to posting about it 🙂 For anyone who follows me on snapchat or Instagram (@adashoflime) or if you know me at all for that matter, then you’ll know that I’m not exactly shy when it comes to professing my love for wine. From the very first evening we decided we were going to San Francisco, both of us immediately said that there was absolutely no way in hell that we were going that far without visiting the infamous wine country. I should first start off by apologising for being such an absentee blogger this past month and welcoming you all back! If you follow me on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Snapchat: @adashoflime) then you’ll know I’m just recently home from two amazing weeks in San Francisco.
Last October, one of our best friends, Sara Kate flew the nest and moved to San Francisco so myself and Eadaoin promised her that no matter what we would visit this summer. Truth be told I was so excited to just see Sara Kate and spend time with the girls that I didn’t actually put much thought into San Francisco as a city itself or have that many expectations for it. Little did I know that I’d fall completely in love with everything about the place. View Post
