“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all black says this: I don’t bother you – don’t bother me.” – Yohji Yamamoto
Today’s look is about as predictable as I can get when it comes to choosing an outfit and that really doesn’t bother me. I think sometimes people can get so caught up in changing up their look or evolving their style that they lose their own personal style in the process. I love trends as much as the next person, I mean I count down the days until February arrives because I know that with February comes my favourite March edition magazines, so I’m definitely not innocent when it comes to buying into trends and fashion moments. In fact, I love them – trends are fun and exciting and create that buzz in the fashion world that I love so much. But that doesn’t mean that we should forget about our own personal style or that we should feel guilty about returning to the same pieces in our wardrobe.
I told you in my last blog post that last week I was on my holidays from work. I spent most of it in Donegal but I came home on Thursday and went to Cork on Friday to see my all time fav, Chic. Far too many hours spent in one weekend on a bus but it was definitely worth it. Worth it, because Nile Rodgers is king! View Post
As you’ve probably gathered from my recent posts I am loving the current seventies trend. If you team that with my ongoing obsession with a-line skirts and never-ending love affair with anything denim, it was only a matter of time before this skirt found a way into my wardrobe! View Post
I’ve decided to start a new weekly “Monday must haves” feature. There’s usually not a day that goes by without me uncovering something new that I tell myself I need, so I thought sharing them only seemed right. A problem shared is a problem halved right?
I know it’s coming into Spring and I should really be embracing a bit of colour but I find it so hard to steer away from my usual black, white, grey and camel.
A couple of months ago Penny’s/Primark released a sneak peak of some of their Winter upcoming stock. There was such an amazing selection of outerwear but I couldn’t get over their range of faux fur coats and gillets. View Post
