“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all black says this: I don’t bother you – don’t bother me.” – Yohji Yamamoto

Hi Guys!

Today’s look is about as predictable as I can get when it comes to choosing an outfit and that really doesn’t bother me. I think sometimes people can get so caught up in changing up their look or evolving their style that they lose their own personal style in the process. I love trends as much as the next person, I mean I count down the days until February arrives because I know that with February comes my favourite March edition magazines, so I’m definitely not innocent when it comes to buying into trends and fashion moments. In fact, I love them – trends are fun and exciting and create that buzz in the fashion world that I love so much. But that doesn’t mean that we should forget about our own personal style or that we should feel guilty about returning to the same pieces in our wardrobe.

Hey Lovelies!

Spring is setting in and with that brings the beginning of all those occasions we associate with that time of year – Communions, Confirmations, Weddings and of course, the racing season! With all of those occasions also brings the added stress of what to wear! I always think its a good idea to pick up a few dresses at the start of the season to have in the wardrobe, ready and waiting for when those days out come around.

I spotted this Dolce & Gabbana dress recently and instantly fell in love with it. Obviously I didn’t fall in love with the price tag of €1,550 but I knew that I would be able to find something similar for less if I searched. I just loved everything about it from the classy midi length to the monochrome polka dot print which is huge this season but also quite timeless, to the cold shoulder detailing. It would be perfect for a Summer wedding but also would be just as lovely worn casually with a nice wedge or flat on your holidays etc. I’m going to Spain at the end of next month and I think that I might have to sneak this dress (the non Dolce one I’m afraid) into my suitcase.  View Post

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Today’s look is definitely one of my go-to’s. Recently, I’ve really been trying to cut down on my spending and because of that I have been doing less shopping which has actually been a lot easier than I had anticipated. This has led to me being a little bit smarter about the clothes and pieces that I do buy. I find that I’m asking myself questions like “What do I have that will go with this?”, “Do I really need this?, “Will I get enough wear out of this?” and so on and so forth. Two of my most recent purchases have been this suede biker jacket and these leopard print boots. I justified buying them because I knew I would get endless wear out of them. I mean, leopard print is pretty much a neutral right? 😉  View Post

” Autumn is a second spring when every flower is a leaf  ” –  Albert Camus

Hey Guys!

Happy Tuesday! Is it just me or are the weeks just flying by? I can’t believe we’re in the middle of November already! I always love this time of year, I never appreciated how beautiful a season Autumn is when I was younger. The crisp air, the striking colours, the surrounding city just comes alive. Another one of my favourite things about this time of year is dressing for it! I love that you can pull out all your cosy accessories and furs alike but you can still get away with barely there tights! Knowing our Irish weather though, this won’t last long.. better enjoy it while we can!  View Post

Hey Lovelies!

Last weekend I attended the ACT For Meningitis winter ball and oh what a night it was. I’m never one to say no to getting glammed up and a good night out but I jumped at the opportunity to attend this ball in particular. ACT For Meningitis  are an absolutely unbelievable charity and the work they do is nothing short of incredible. Meningitis  can target any family and when it does, the outcome can be life changing and devastating. ACT For Meningitis work tirelessly to raise awareness, fund and provide support for families affected by this fast-moving disease. The work they do is so important and that’s why it’s equally important to get behind them and support them whenever you can. It’s not hard to support them when; 1. The work they do is so amazing and 2. You get to wear a pretty dress in the process! View Post
