Venice, Venice, Venice -where to begin? It really is a magical city that no picture can ever truly capture. For as long as I can remember, Venice has always been one of those places that I’ve always looked at and thought “Wow, I need to go there sometime”, so one night after looking at one too many Italian- related instagrams, I thought that sometime needed to become soon so I sent out a group text to some of my favourite ladies and the rest was history. Finally getting around to sitting down to do this post, I seriously don’t know how other bloggers had their Picnic posts up on Monday night.. I’m still not fully recovered and I’m only half the person I was going! But anyway I’ll stop feeling sorry for myself (kinda) and get to it. I’ll start by saying it was the most enjoyable weekend ever. There’s nothing better then heading off to a festival with your best friends for a full weekend to just completely let loose and enjoy yourselves, and we’re quite good at enjoying ourselves so that’s exactly what we did 🙂 View Post
I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was one of the best I’ve had in ages. On Saturday I went to the Ireland V Wales rugby match in Dublin, thanks again to Foley’s Hop House for the tickets! On Sunday, I attended the press launch of the Campo Viejo Tapas Trail. If you know me, then you’ll know about my undying (and a little excessive) love for all things wine and food related so when I heard the words “Tapas Trail” alone, I was sold.
The trail is organised by Spanish winemaker’s, Campo Viejo. They have ran these trails in Dublin and Cork for a few years but this year is the first time they have brought the trail to Galway. With all the Spanish connections and roots that Galway has, it only made sense for them to bring it here next. View Post
I told you in my last blog post that last week I was on my holidays from work. I spent most of it in Donegal but I came home on Thursday and went to Cork on Friday to see my all time fav, Chic. Far too many hours spent in one weekend on a bus but it was definitely worth it. Worth it, because Nile Rodgers is king! View Post
As you may have noticed, I have been very bold these past two weeks and not very consistent with my blog posts! You may have seen on my instagram that I had my holiday from work last week. My family were going to Donegal and I decided to make the most of my time off and go with them. Both of my grandparents on my mums side are from Donegal so alot of our family live up there. We stayed in Dundoan near Downings. It’s honestly a little piece of paradise up there. We stayed in a mobile home in The Rosguill Holiday Park. The facilities there are absolutely amazing- pitch ‘n’ putt, tennis courts, pitches, playgrounds and access to numerous beautiful beaches with sand so white you could easily mistake it for Barbados (weather permitting of course!).
