I’m usually not a huge fan of vintage.. I mean, I can completely appreciate how stunning and beautiful it is but 9 times out of 10 it just doesn’t suit me. When I think of vintage I instantly think of small sizes and generally it just doesn’t work on girls that are in anyway “busty”. This pink longline blazer though was my exception. I routed this beauty out of a vintage shop in Clifden, Connemara during the summer and I honestly could not believe my luck. The quality of it is absolutely amazing and the best part? It was only €20!!
Happy Friday guys!
To be honest, at first I wasn’t hugely sold on bomber jackets but this black embroidered one, I fell for straight away. I quickly tired of the quilted ones that we were beginning to see everywhere but I loved the Gucci vibe this one had due to it’s embroidered detailing (just look at those butterflies). It’s black so I can still wear it with most things but at the same time it’s that little bit different! View Post
Happy Sunday everyone! This miserable weather here in Galway had me looking back on finer days of weeks gone past. A good few of you snapped me asking about my dress from Ladies Day a few weeks ago so I thought it was time I fessed up the details! I didn’t actually attend the races themselves this year as I was working but every Galwegian knows that the real place to be is at the Radisson for the after parties. Seeing as I wasn’t going out to the race track I decided to go for a dress that was a bit more casual and one I would get wear out of again. As much as I love admiring all the races style on other people, I have to admit it’s not really me. That’s why I chose this little number because I know come next summer it’s one I could easily pair with some flats and wear to the beach. View Post
I’m all smiles today and all smiles for all sorts of different reasons.
- I got my hair done…is there anything better than that feeling of a fresh head of highlights, cut and curly blowdry? Thank you, thank you, thank you Grafton!
- I also got my brows done so I now feel like I can look in the mirror again.. again Grafton to the rescue!
- It was my day off AND it didn’t rain meaning I could actually do something with my time off. This is a serious rarity in Galway.
- Last but definitely not least, I found out I’ve made the shortlist of the Littlewoods Ireland Blog Awards best fashion blog! (Insert shocked face). I am honestly SO overwhelmed and thrilled to have made it this far, to see A Dash Of Lime in the mix among so many amazing bloggers who I’ve been following for years.. it’s mad! For everyone who has voted for me, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!
Brunching has definitely got to be one of my favourite things to do, mainly because when you talk about it, it sounds more like an activity rather than what it is – eating, and lots of it. It’s a civilised way of saying I’m going out at noon for a fry up and bottomless bubbles! That’s why I was over the moon to attend this year’s Midsummer Brunch with Absolut to celebrate the end of another amazingly successful Galway International Art’s Festival. The breakfast come lunch was hosted by ones of Galway’s trendiest eateries – Biteclub. View Post
