Like every other girl alive, I am completely and utterly shoe obsessed. I will always come up with an excuse to buy another pair and my favourite and most used phrase when buying new shoes is “sure its an investment!”. Which to be fair, it is-you can never have too many pairs of shoes! But for them to be investments you need to know that they are good quality, comfortable and that they will last you and those three things are exactly what you get when you buy a pair of Dune shoes. With the coming of June, comes the hopes for that “exam weather” and earlier this week the sun finally decided to make an appearance here in Galway. I was so excited to think I could finally brake into my summer wardrobe, but in typical Irish form it was all very short-lived. So it was away with the shorts and sundresses for another few weeks but I was still determined to try and veer away from my usual all black everything rig-out, even if it was just in the form of a white shirt. I had been on the hunt for the perfect white shirt for months and finally came across this one in New Look. You just can’t beat a classic white shirt, its the ultimate stable piece for your wardrobe. Its so versatile and will carry you from day to night with the simplest of ease. View Post
The CFDA Awards or Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards are always one of the most highly anticipated red-carpet events of the year, especially to anyone who truly loves fashion. Its one event where everything is about the fashion and because of that the moguls, stars, celebrities and designers all tend to bring their A-game. Except this year I have to admit I’m not all that impressed. Of course, some celebrities stunned but as a whole I was left rather disappointed. Here are my favourites and my not so favourites from the star studded event.
If you know me you will be in no way shocked that Blake has made top of my list as she’s my ultimate style crush. She kept it simple in a short, beaded gold Michael Kors dress and teamed it with plush pink shoes and matching headband. I just loved how girly and elegant the whole ensemble was.
I’m not sure if its the inner seven year old in me but I am totally loving this new “Fluffy” trend that seems to be creeping in. I admit it might be a bit out there and not for everyone but I’m seriously enjoying it. There’s something so fun about it and I think its just the perfect finishing touch to jazz up an outfit. And due to my extensive Instagram creeping (I genuinely have an Instagram problem) I can see I’m not the only one as more and more people are adding that extra bit of fluff! These fluffy bags from River Island are really hitting the spot, so much so I think I’ll have to invest in one, but which colour? Poor Rosie from Made In Chelsea couldn’t decide so she had to buy all four. Had to. Obvs.
I thought I would do a small post to show you what exactly my “style” entails. Its nothing extravagant! I don’t tend to follow all the trends. I just like to buy items that suits my shape and colouring. I think its really important to learn and buy what is best for you. There are certain trends and types of clothes that I will adore and admire on other people but they just might not be right on me and that’s okay. Not every trend will suit every person. So I think for me, finding what worked for me took awhile but I like to think I’ve finally got there! View Post
