Tuesday Trends- Tuxedo Talk

The Christmas party season is fast approaching. As much as I eagerly look forward to all the festive fun, there’s one thing I dread and that’s trying to dress up for nights out, without freezing myself to death in the process. Of course there’s tights, jeans etc but sometimes I feel they can make an outfit very casual looking and the Christmas season is not a time to dress down. Its the opposite. My solution? The tuxedo!

Victoria Beckham has been sporting Tuxedos longer than anymore but recently all the celebrities have been joining in on the trend from Emma Watson to Angelina Jolie. It’s classy, chic and sophisticated. It screams girl boss- I love it.

Irish model, Rozanna Purcell wore a blue tuxedo to the V.I.P Style Awards earlier this year and after it’s hugely positive reaction from the public, she teamed up with tailors Scribe of London in Cork to bring out her own range. She describes them as “powerhouse suits” and that’s exactly what they are. To give the tuxedo that sexy finish, follow Roz’s lead and leave the shirt at home.

Another celebrity turned designer is Rosie Fortescue. She has teamed up with Lipstick Boutique and made her own collection also. My favourite piece is this tuxedo style dress. The simplicity of it is absolutely stunning. It definitely has a place on my Christmas wish list!

To finish off either the tuxedo suit or dress, add some sparkle. It’s Christmas after all. I would add metallic courts,a statement clutch and long drop earrings with sleek straight styled hair and neutral make up.

What do you guys think? Will any of ye be wearing it to your Christmas party? Let me know what ye think!

Eden! I LOVE suits. Such a classy look! The blue one is killer. Makes a change from the black look. I am very much thinking about wearing a suit this season. Love this post 🙂
